Attention entrepreneurs! Personal finance social network WalletHub recently revealed the results of its 2016 Best Large Cities to Start a Business report. WalletHub’s analysts compared key metrics across 150 of the most populated U.S. cities including business environment, access to resources and cost. Scores were calculated and the cities were ranked accordingly.

 

Here are the results:

 

Best Cities:

  1. Sioux Falls, S.D.
  2. Grand Rapids, Mich.
  3. Oklahoma City, Okla.
  4. Lincoln, Neb.
  5. Louis, Mo.
  6. Salt Lake City, Utah
  7. Charlotte, N.C.
  8. Springfield, Mo.
  9. Tulsa, Okla.
  10. Amarillo, Texas

Worst Cities:

  1. Providence, R.I.
  2. Washington, D.C.
  3. Portland, Ore.
  4. Jersey City, N.J.
  5. Philadelphia, Pa.
  6. Gilbert, Ariz.
  7. Fremont, Calif.
  8. Albuquerque, N.M.
  9. Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.
  10. Tucson, Ariz.

 

Rounding out these findings, WalletHub revealed Detroit, Mich., as the city with lowest labor costs while Irvine, Calif., and Fremont, Calif., have the highest. Toledo, Ohio, has the cheapest office spaces, while New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C., tie for the most expensive.
