The Blue Lagoon in Iceland is a gorgeous geothermal spa offering luxury wellness services at the world famous Clinic Hotel. This exclusive resort is completely out of this world, from the sauna, steam room, waterfall and silica mud masks to the incredible lagoon itself. It is a holistic dream vacation.
The Blue Lagoon has actually been in existence for much longer than the resort and still possesses all of the same natural benefits. In the 1970s, locals claimed to see significant skin improvements from bathing and covering themselves in the silica mud found in the water. The elements and natural minerals inspired the health and wellness resort to be built around the lagoon.
Now considered one of the wonders of the world, The Blue Lagoon is one of the greatest destinations for total relaxation almost entirely supplied by nature.
Rates are based on access and packages from the spa, but can range from €40 for a daytrip to €230 for signature treatments and access to luxury amenities, while rooms range in price if a day at the lagoon just isn’t enough.
The surrounding hotel is expanding and expected to be completed in the spring of 2017, but the lagoon, restaurants, bars and amenities are still available for serene wellness seekers.
