A visit to Cheyenne isn’t complete without a trip to the Cheyenne Depot. Built in 1887, and formerly known as the Union Pacific Depot, the depot was known as one of the most beautiful railroad stations in the United States. Currently, it’s one of the last remaining 19th-century depots from the transcontinental railroad. The Cheyenne Depot Museum tells the history of Cheyenne. Open daily, admission costs $8 for adults.
Have lunch at Cheyenne favorite, Albany Restaurant. Opened in 1946, this family restaurant offers a wide-ranging menu of popular lunch items from soups and salads to sandwiches and burgers. Lunch costs about $10–15. Get into the spirit of the west with a stroll through some of Cheyenne’s Western stores.
