LGBT: Los Angeles

West Hollywood is by no means shy about what they represent and the area wants you to join their party! Santa Monica Boulevard spans from the Los Angeles coast to well past Downtown LA and is lucky enough to also go right through this prideful rainbow town. West Hollywood by far has one of the hottest LGBT scenes in the world and has the events to back it.

Los Angeles Pride

From the rainbow painted crosswalks to the 180,000 visitors that come to attend their annual pride festival, it’s hard not to feel completely yourself in such a welcoming place. Every summer during the second weekend of June, this city shuts down a section of Santa Monica Bulevard and the entire area goes nuts with parties and events to show support for the community. The actual Pride event boast shows and concerts from some of the hottest names in entertainment and a percentage of the proceeds goes to helping non-profits in the area having to do with LGBT communities.

Abbey Food and Bar

Be sure to check out the famous Abbey Food and Bar where most celebs can be found on any given weekend. Every day and night of the week this is the bar that boasts the biggest crowd and the best DJs in town. Wednesday night is notably Lady’s Night and Sunday-Funday is one of the hottest times to show up in the summer. It is the busiest and also one of the original bars for the area and the community alike.  Once finished at the Abbey, be sure to strut east on the Boulevard for the full effect of all the different bars this scene has to offer.
