Paying to volunteer seems a little backward, but nonetheless volunteer destinations are on the rise. Traveling can already be such an amazing experience, but add in some hard work for a good cause and it may just be unforgettable.
Projects Abroad is an online platform that allows students, interns and future humanitarians to choose a project to work for around the world. There are projects for all ages, education goals and cultural interests for durations of one week to 13 weeks abroad.
For just a small sampling, there are options from farming in Argentina, teaching journalism in Ghana or soccer in Romania to nursing in India. The site offers an abundance of projects all over the world for volunteers to choose from and apply.
The fee for each project ranges depending on length of stay and location, anywhere from $2,800 to more than$8,000. All prices include the airport pick-up and drop off, accommodation, food, work-related transport, medical and travel insurance and 24-hour support from staff.
Unfortunately, flights and visas are not included, making this trip a little pricey for longer stays. Projects Abroad is an independent organization with no funding which means volunteers are literally funding the projects while on a vacation of hard work and gratitude

The NFL’s popularity is ever-growing, with last year’s Super Bowl the most-watched television program of all time.
