Headed to Denver this month? Summer fun doesn’t end after Labor Day weekend. Here are a few other can’t-miss events to catch in the Mile High City.
Taking place Sept. 7, Denver Zoo’s fifth annual Flock Party is a benefit featuring craft cocktails, tasty food, live music and animal experiences. Proceeds benefit the zoo and its conservation work, and tickets for the adults-only event start at $150.
Through Sept. 7, Denver Food + Wine Festival is an outdoor event that takes place on the Auraria Campus and highlights the state’s culinary community with events like tastings, seminars and competitions. It all leads up to the Grand Tasting on the festival’s last day, wherein you’ll sample bites from 50 local restaurants.
Anthony Quinn Pop-Up at Museo de las Americas
Through Sept. 22, catch an Anthony Quinn pop-up at Museo de las Americas. The exhibition features drawings, paintings and sculptures from the figure best known as an actor, but who was a prolific artist as well. While at the museum, stick around and explore all the other exhibitions on display at what has, over the last three decades-plus, become known as the Latin American art museum of Denver.
