Traveling to Mississippi this spooky season? Make sure you check out these three haunted spots.
In Natchez, King’s Tavern stands as the oldest remaining structure in the city and as the most-haunted restaurant in the state. There are a few different ghosts who call the tavern home, including a once-upon-a-time waitress killed by the owner’s wife after she found out the waitress was having an affair with the owner. Today, you can’t eat at the tavern, as it’s for sale, but you can swing by and see what ghosts you can spot through the windows.

The McRaven Tour Home in Vicksburg is the state’s most haunted house. The pre-Civil War home proudly claims more than a dozen resident ghosts, likely thanks to its role as a field hospital during the Civil War. You can book either a historic or a haunted tour.
Also in Vicksburg, Vicksburg National Military Park was the site of one of the Civil War’s most gruesome battles. Visitors have reported all sorts of supernatural occurrences, from seeing cannon smoke and blood-soaked sculptures to smelling the scent of gunpowder and glimpsing roaming soldiers.
