The Midwest’s largest pride celebration takes place June 13–14. Columbus Pride attracts around 700,000 attendees every year. If you won’t be in town on those dates, don’t worry: There are plenty of Pride-related events taking place throughout the month of June.

For bookworms, July 12–13 welcomes Columbus Book Festival. This free event brings in more than 200 authors for panel discussions, book signings and other fun. Tens of thousands of people attend, and it’s the perfect opportunity to visit some of the city’s great bookstores. A local food court and vendor marketplace round off the experience.
