Become a Master of Seafood with a Cooking Workshop

At Fonda Fish Garden, located steps from the sea and Sečovlje Salt Pans, join a small group workshop to master the art of cooking fish and seafood. Led by Irena Fonda, a biologist and passionate cook, this four-hour class creates dishes like fish soup, carpaccio, sashimi and smoked sea bass appetizers.

Go Kayaking Through the Unground of Mount Peca

Paddle through the flooded and narrow tunnels of the largest lead and zinc mine in this part of Europe. The adventure begins on an original mining train, traveling through a 3.5-kilometer tunnel to reach Union Slope Tunnel. Descend 91 meters down the steps and begin your kayaking trip, navigating small lakes 700 meters below earth’s surface. Your guide, a former mine, shares insights into the geological history of the area.
