Puppetry

The cultural tradition of puppetry has roots in the traveling puppet shows of the 1800s and still serves as a form of modern entertainment. A summer puppetry festival takes place in Chrudim. Be sure to visit puppet museums in Chrudim and Pilsen.

Monterey Beach Hotel Now Open

Monterey Beach Hotel, a Marriott Tribute Portfolio Hotel, has officially debuted. Built in 1967, the hotel has reopened under its original name, but following a significant renovation and rebranding effort. It is also the only beachfront hotel in the Monterey Peninsula, with more than 600 linear feet of exclusive shoreline. The 192 guestrooms and four suites join meeting and event spaces and culinary outlets.
