As National Cocktail Day approaches on March 24, Santa Barbara invites visitors and locals alike to visit some of its newest locations serving beverages ranging from coffee to beer to wine. Venture to one of these businesses next time you’re in Santa Barbara.
Located at El Encanto, A Belmond Hotel, Farm to Cup Coffee offers guests an exclusive tasting and roasting experience with Coastal Coffee Collective. The experience also includes a tour of the five-acre grounds of Valley Heart Ranch. Guests can enjoy delicious, coffee-inspired picnic specials curated by the hotel’s executive chef.
After relaunching in February 2022, The Manor Bar invites guests to browse its new menu of literary-inspired cocktails. Situated at Rosewood Miramar Beach, some of the bar’s most unique cocktails include In Search of Lost Time, a cognac cocktail, and Fahrenheit 451, a smoke-tinged, bourbon-based drink. Lovers of science fiction author H.G. Wells must try The Invisible Man, a gin, Campari and vermouth cocktail while fans of Russian novelist Fyodor Dostoevsky can try the Crime and Punishment, a vodka and Kahlua-based beverage.
Slated to open this summer in the Funk Zone, this new brewery and taproom will feature both “validated” beers and new brews. The new brews will include home and brewer submissions and will compete against the “validated” brews for a spot on the menu.
Wylde Works opens this spring to offer jun kombucha and mead. Its first tasting location will appear on State Street.
This coffee shop already boasts a number of locations across the county, but its most recent addition in downtown Santa Barbara will offer guests of the area cocktail-esque signature drinks, all in the form of coffee and without any alcohol. Some of Cajé’s most unique drinks include The Burnout, a coffee with bourbon pecan syrup, activated charcoal and candied ginger, and The Sugarwood, a coffee featuring rosemary, maple, cherry, smoking wood chips and angostura bitters.
A Santa Barbara-based tequila bar and Mexican restaurant, Augie’s is set to open this June to provide guests with a one-stop experience. Augie’s will not only produce its own local beverages but it will also feature an array of other local brands and will work with local ranches for the restaurant.
This fun brand offers a variety of flavors of mead and will soon appear near the Funk Zone. Owned by Santa Barbara native Austin Corrigan, High Seas Mead flavors include Meadacolada, Cosmo Bandito, Mystic Vibration and Cheap Thrills.
