Bauhaus, a type of architecture originally founded in 1919 in Germany, can be seen throughout Tel Aviv. The city features more than 4,000 Bauhaus-style buildings built 1920–1940 by German-Jewish architects who fled Nazi Germany. Tel Aviv hosts a week-long celebration the second week of June in observance of Gay Pride Month. The pinnacle of the festival occurs on Friday with more than 250,000 revelers joining in the celebration. Since 2019, this parade is the largest LGBTQIA+ parade in Asia.
