As the birthplace of flamenco and the land of sangria and tinto de verano aplenty, southern Spain´s personality shines through its palm trees, sunny skies and stunning architectural wonders. Luckily, the capital of the region of Andalucía is an easy spot to visit on a budget.
Leave your wallets at your hotel and spend a day exploring all of the free beauty Seville has to offer. The expansive Plaza de España, with its red brick building forming a semicircle and accented with a charming canal, borders the enchanting Parque de Maria Luisa, where pathways, fountains, flora and wildlife pull you into a fairytale world.

After spending hours meandering through the neighborhood of Santa Cruz, stop for a bocadillo (small sandwich) for approximately $5.00, washed down with a glass of tinto de verano ($5.00) and a café con leche ($2.00).
Access to the world´s largest Gothic cathedral, Seville Cathedral, costs €9 ($9.50), but this is one price that may certainly be worth it. The interior of this massive religious building combines classic Gothic architecture with just a smattering of Moorish influence, paying homage to the mosque that once stood in the same place.

Eager to catch a flamenco show in the city where it all began? You can pay for a show, or you can simply stroll through the narrow streets of the city. Dancers clap and stomp on small wooden stages of sorts throughout Seville, and often draw hordes of onlookers.
Budget for food and a few glasses of sangria, and fall in love with the south of Spain.

Insta FeedAre You Ready for the Final Switch to Real ID?
Yesterday, TSA began enforcing new identification guidelines, a change that’s been a long-time coming. Now, travelers must show a REAL ID-compliant, state-issued ID in order to fly on domestic flights, in lieu of a non-compliant driver’s license (some other forms of identification, such as passports, will still be acceptable).
