Lander peddles a small line of “expedition-inspired accessories” — sturdy, waterproof backpacks; smartphone cases that can take a serious beating; powerbanks; and charging cords.
If you’ve had a smartphone for longer than a year or two, you know well the cords that come with the phones are flimsy, tending to fray with the repeated, daily use necessary to keep your phone juiced up.
Lander solved this with its seemingly indestructible cables, which includes a Neve Lighting Cable, a lightning to USB option for your iPod, iPhone or iPad. The cable features the company’s signature Illumaweave reflective technology, which makes the cord appear to glow in the dark. The cord is stiffer than your Apple cable and made of durable nylon, so it won’t tangle, fray, rip, shred or degrade in any way.
Lander’s Everpull connectors further strengthen the product by providing sturdy connections between plug and cord — the usually vulnerable spot is super secure with Lander’s cords. Simply put, if you’ve decimated your phone’s factory cord, opt for Lander’s instead of buying another — and another, and another — from Apple.
A minor complaint: Lander’s packages its products a bit excessively; the cord, a small item, came in a plastic bag housed in a bulky box encased in a cardboard container. Something simpler would suffice.
