Halloween is around the corner, and countries across the world celebrate in some exciting ways, from Day of the Dead festivities to sharing tales of scary figures like vampires and La Llorona. La Llorona
This cocktail, called La Llorona, or Weeping Woman, is named after the mysterious woman from Mayan folklore and can be found at Victoria House Resort & Spa in Belize.
Ingredients:
- 75 oz vodka
- 75 oz Chambord raspberry liqueur
- 75 blue curacao
- Pour to balance – lime juice
- Pour to balance – simple syrup
- Pour to balance – grenadine
- Garnish: dehydrated tropical fruit and black olives
Add ingredients into a shaker, pour into a long-stemmed cocktail class, garnish and serve.
The Catrina
Evoking the heart of Mexican culture in its celebration of Day of the Dead, The Catrina, crafted at Hotel Arts Barcelona, features some of the most emblematic ingredients of Mexican culture.
Ingredients:
- 50 ml tequila
- 10 ml Chilean Ancho Reyes liqueur
- 100 ml beet juice
- 25 ml lemon juice
- 15 ml agave syrup
- Garnish: activated charcoal, sugar or pepper rim
Add decorative cocktail ice cube, combine tequila and other ingredients, pour into a Collins Highball cocktail glass, and garnish.

Witches Brew
At Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort in Fiji, Witches Brew offers a refreshing taste of Fiji.
Ingredients:
- Bombay Sapphire
- Cointreau
- Fresh lemon juice
- Sugar syrup
- Cucumber
- Dash of Grenadine
- Mint
- Garnish: 2 lychees inserted with olives
Muddle mint, cucumber, lemon wedges and two tablespoons of sugar. Add ice and other ingredients, then shake hard and double strain into a martini glass, ending with a dash of grenadine. Garnish and serve.

Tipsy Vampire
Inspired by the traditional Vampire King of the Night, the Tipsy Vampire can also be found at Victoria House Resort & Spa in Belize.
Ingredients:
- 5 oz vodka
- 5 oz peach schnapps
- 2 oz red wine
- 25 oz lime juice
- 1 oz dragon fruit
- 5 oz strawberry syrup
- Garnish: dehydrated dragon fruit and black olives
Slowly combine ingredients with ice, stir and pour into rocks cocktail glass.

The Green Goblin
Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort boasts another spooky cocktail, The Green Goblin, an intoxicating mix of sweet, citrus and savory.
Ingredients:
- Fiji Vodka
- Midori
- Cointreau
- Lime
- Sugar syrup
- Garnish: lychee and olives on a skewer
Add all ingredients in a steering glass, load ice, stir until glass stem is chilled and pour into chilled rock glass.
