Any foodie will argue that a true fine dining experience is an artform all on its own, but a new experience from The Oberoi, Marrakech in Morocco takes the combination of art and cuisine to a new level.
The property’s new Seven Paintings dining experience highlights seven different pieces of artwork from well-known artists such as Michelangelo, Banksy, Pablo Picasso, Jackson Pollock, Andy Warhol, Salvador Dalí and Vincent van Gogh. Over the two-hour meal, guests view the paintings in 3D thanks to high-tech table settings. Each interactive display is accompanied by carefully choreographed additional features, including special lighting and music.

While they watch the display, guests likewise enjoy a menu filled with dishes that pair with each work. Dishes have been crafted to reflect works’ colors, textures and flavors. However, just like the art displays, the dining experience is interactive as well, with each course accompanied by opportunities for diners to get up close and personal with the table setting, artwork and their food. On the menu, expect to see offerings such as sea bass ceviche, Provencal beef daube and a white-chocolate soufflé.
The seven-course menu starts at $178.24 per person and includes one glass of Champagne. Children over the age of 12 are permitted to dine alongside their parents.
