Following the devastating earthquakes that shook Nepal in the spring of 2015, H+I Adventures returns to the Himalayas with an adventurous 12-day mountain biking holiday across the country in order to support its local tourism industry.
The award-winning mountain biking specialists provide adventure seekers with the chance to enjoy some of the world’s most breathtaking climbs, technical descents and incredible views.
There’s never been a more important time to visit Nepal than now,” said Euan Wilson, owner, H+I Adventures. “We are deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the earthquake, but our friends, colleagues and partners in Nepal are resilient. We want to show mountain bikers that Nepal is safe and that the country is ready to welcome them with open arms.”
H+I travelers set out on itineraries with local Nepalese guides through areas surrounded by five-mile-high peaks and stay in local teahouses stocked with delicious food, cold beer and great conversation.
Highlights of H+I Adventures’ Nepal journeys include crisscrossing the Kali Gandaki Valley, the deepest valley in the world; navigating the legendary Annapurna Circuit and the lower Mustang region; and riding through Shivapuri National Park to the historic town of Bhaktapur.
A hot-spring soak in the village of Tatopani caps off a full week of epic highs, providing adventurers with a well-deserved respite and some muscular relaxation.
H+I Adventures’ next departure to Nepal is taking place Feb. 29–March 11, 2016. Rates start from $3,196 per person, including Global Rescue, a world-class emergency service provider offering medical and security evacuation assistances and destination reports.
