Apple’s decision to axe the 3.5mm jack caused a flurry of interest in wireless headphones. There are a variety of models available, but what if you prefer your current pair? Such a problem doesn’t exist for AIAIAI, a company that specializes in modular headphones.

This means every piece can be purchased individually, allowing people to mix and match their own model depending on what they’re looking for, whether it’s music production, DJ equipment or just listening to music. AIAIAI was previously restricted to wired headbands, but the company recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund its new venture; a Bluetooth headband for wireless playback, branded the H05 Smart Headband.

Current owners of the TMA-1’s 1,000 configurations will be able to upgrade to wireless for about $90, based on the Kickstarter pledge. If that seems on the expensive side, keep in mind it’s a high-quality Bluetooth device, and a much cheaper alternative to completely replacing your headphones. AIAIAI’s modular design also means if any piece of your headphones breaks, you can simply replace the part instead of replacing the entire device.

The H05 Headband will feature a USB-C charging port (streaming not available), an omnidirectional microphone and 16 hours of playback with two hours of charging time. Utilizing the TMA-2 speakers, the headphone package will also be able to play music through a traditional cable as well.
