Bring a little of your vacation home with you with Alaia Belize’s Mixology Masterclass, allowing guests an opportunity to immerse themselves in the culture and tastes of Belize. The Mixology Masterclass is more than a cocktail-making session, but rather an exploration of flavors inspired by the natural beauty of Belize. Expert mixologists lead the class to teach participants the secrets behind crafting their signature cocktails. The hands-on experience includes muddling fresh, local fruits.

That brings us to another highlight of the experience: The masterclass only uses locally sourced ingredients and guests get to use exotic fruits, herbs and spices native to Belize. The cocktails are delicious and highlight the region’s traditions. All skill levels are welcome at the classes and it’s perfect for all group configurations, from couples and groups to solo travelers. It can also be an add-on to events, like destination weddings, honeymoons and corporate retreats.
If you can’t make it to an Alaia Belize masterclass soon, the resort’s team of mixologists shares some tips:
- All natural ingredients are best, like honey and fruit purees, as they add taste without added sugars.
- Consider buying special regional ingredients to spice things up, like tiger’s milk for Latin American-inspired drinks.
- Edible flower powders and flavored ices look good and taste good!
- Presentation is a secret to making a perfect cocktail, so use edible garnishes to transform an at-home cocktail to the exquisite.
