The Epic Israel Mountain Bike Race takes place Oct. 8–10. The mountain bike race expects more than 500 bikers from Israel and beyond to participate in the three-day event. The annual race was created for mountain bike enthusiasts looking for a long, challenging route amid beautiful landscapes.
The race kicks off and concludes at Megiddo in northern Israel. The route, which changes each year, passes through Mount Carmel and Zichron Ya’akov in the north and Horsham and Alonei Yitzhak in the south. The route will also include a section in Mishmar HaEmek Forest. Depending on experience level, short, medium or long distances are available. Bikers should expect to ride about 46–62 miles per day.
Racers stay at the race village in Kibbutz Dalia. Registration includes meals and the choice of five different types of accommodation: tent, guest house, camper, wooden cabin or off-site self-organized lodging. All bikers who complete the race receive an official finisher jersey and medal. A rider kit is included for participants complete with a race number (for your bike and jersey), a rider bracelet and badge and some surprises! Bikers are encouraged to book the massage package, good for two half-hour massages at the end of the first two days of the race.
Registration fees differ depending on accommodation type.
