Head to La Jolla, California, this September for the 16th La Jolla Art & Wine Festival. The free event held in La Jolla Village features more than 160 artists, live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and a ticketed Wine & Beer Garden. This year’s event takes place Sept. 28–29.
“Every year, we are thrilled to bring together such a diverse and talented group of artists, as well as the region’s finest wineries, distilleries, and breweries, in a grand open-air celebration in the village,” said Brenda Chand, executive director, La Jolla Art & Wine Festival. “We look forward to welcoming everyone to this year’s festival and supporting the arts and education in San Diego.”
The event showcases works from regional and international artists in a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture, jewelry, glass, ceramics, woodwork, mixed media and photography. This year’s featured artist is Roy Kerckhoffs, a photographer and mixed media artist.
The Wine & Beer Garden hosts more than 35 international wineries, local craft breweries, distilleries and local food vendors. Enjoy live entertainment of music and dance performances. Take part in the two-day silent auction. A pet adoption station will also be available.
For those attending with children, Geppetto’s Toys Family Art Center offers activities for kids of all ages, including face painting, visual arts projects and robotics demonstrations.
Proceeds from the festival will support San Diego Unified School District.
