During a career spanning 40-plus years, travel journalist Katherine Rodeghier visited nearly 100 countries on seven continents and cruised across the globe. She had close encounters with penguins in Antarctica and lions in Tanzania, waded in a cranberry marsh in Wisconsin, sipped spiced wine at European Christmas markets, and danced the two-step in Texas. Her career began writing and editing an award-winning travel section for Chicago’s Daily Herald. She also contributes to Chicago Tribune and a variety of magazines and websites.
