It is no secret Europe is home to some of the best beer on the planet. Thirsty travelers come from far and wide to taste the brews and take tours of the breweries, eager to sip straight from the source. Germany
The nation of Oktoberfest considers beer a major part of its culture and everyday life. Germany even once had a beer purity law that only allowed three to four ingredients to be included in their brews. Particularly in Bavaria, beers are 6 percent alcohol and are even served during breakfast.
Belgium
Although a small country, Belgium features some 180 breweries that produce quaffs ranging from lagers to Flemish reds. Some of Belgium´s best beers are brewed in monasteries by Trappist monks, including the popular Chimay brand. Other notable Belgian beers are Stella Artois, Duvel and Leffe.

Ireland
If the Irish are known for anything, it is their love for beer. From red ale to lager to their famous stouts, brewing beer has been part of the country´s culture since the 18th century, as evidenced in the Guinness factory that opened in 1756.
Czech Republic
Often overlooked as one of the beer giants of Europe, this Eastern European country specializes in pilsners and lagers, at a much cheaper price than neighboring nations. Pilsner Urquell is the nation’s claim to fame and can be enjoyed any time of the day thanks to its light consistency yet strong flavor.
