The winding cliff paths of the Jurassic Coast are enough to make anyone get thirsty. Luckily, there are some great pubs along the way where you can stop for some well-deserved refreshment.
First up is The Smugglers Inn in Osmington Bay, which boasts incredible views from its large beer garden. Enjoy one of the award-winning cask beers or chow down on a meal from the seasonal menu.
Another great option is The Anchor Inn in Seatown, not far from Bridport. Not for nothing, it was named the best pub in Dorset at the National Pub & Bar Awards, and the menu won a prize at the Taste of the West Awards.
Over in Lyme Regis is The Cobb Arms, which sits near the famous Cobb Wall. It’s a great spot for a cozy winter pint because you can watch the waves crashing over the wall.
Head to Lulworth Cove to visit the atmospheric Castle Inn, built in the 16th century. A great pub for cider fans, it offers the widest selection of ciders of any pub in Dorset.
Another top pub is the Ship Inn in Weymouth, which sits right on the water. It’s a lovely pub for watching the boats, and there is a good selection of drinks, too.
