Getting around Europe is a breeze compared to travel through the States. Cars are the best means of travel, as they allow you to move at your own pace. Luckily, Europe has plenty of excellent car rental companies to choose from.
Sixt is one of Europe’s top two car rental agencies and offers more than 4,000 locations in 105 countries. With a fleet of more than 220,000 cars available to travelers, they’re one of the easiest to book. The company was established in 1912 in Munich, so you can rest assured they’re reliable.
Europcar is the other big name in car rentals throughout Europe. With a fleet of more than 200,000 cars and more than 140 locations around the world, it’s one of the largest in the world. Reliable, affordable and easy to use, Europcar is a favorite among travelers.
Renault Eurodrive is a France-based company that’s new to the scene. It currently boasts 77 locations throughout Europe, but somewhat of a smaller fleet than the other options. However, its focus on long-term rentals between six and 22 months means they’re great for extended trips.
This American car rental company is taking over the globe. One of the perks of choosing Avis for a European car rental is you can do most of the legwork right here at home. They’ll set you up a reservation and ensure everything is ready to go before you arrive.
When you think of Hertz, you probably think America, but the truth is that this company is the widest spread in the world in terms of airport car rental terminals. Hertz is located in 150 countries, including a number of high-profile destinations in Europe. Hertz is present in Belgium, Georgia, Poland, the U.K., France, Portugal, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and many other countries in Europe.
In many of the countries, Hertz offers convenient and ubiquitous access to car rental services. No matter where you are, you can probably find a Hertz.
