Booking.com recently revealed its list of 2025 travel predictions. Nine distinct trends dominate the 2025 travel scene.
Noctourism
Travelers look toward space- and nocturnal-focused tourism. More than half of those polled expressed interest in visiting a dark-sky park. Other celestial events ranked high for 2025 travel.
Longevity
Sixty percent of travelers are interested in a longevity retreat, with a focus on wellness activities intended to extend their lifespan.
AI: Alternative Itineraries
With AI fully in the conversation, more than two-thirds of travelers plan to use AI technologies in planning alternative itineraries.
Multigen Megatrips
Older travelers will book the trip of a lifetime for the family instead of saving their money. Grandparents plan to finance the SKI trips (Spending Kids’ Inheritance) for their entire brood.
Updated Guys’ Trips
Guys’ trips will increasingly focus on wellbeing over booze, with male travelers expressing interest in trips geared toward friendship-building.
Ageless Travel
Older travelers show interest in adventurous activities while traveling, from horseback riding and hiking to camping and skydiving.
Neurodivergent Travel
Many neurodivergent travelers will use AI tools to make their experience more inclusive. Sixty-eight percent will seek out sensory room offerings in airports and hotels.
Vintage Vacation
This trend reconsiders how to pack for a trip. More than half of travelers polled said they would buy their vacation wardrobe at a thrift store during their stay.
Destination: Airport
Travelers will consider travel to a destination based on the airport’s offerings. Millennial and Gen Z will fuel this trend.

Nov 18, 2024Catch Denver’s New Nightly Holiday Drone Show
Starting Nov. 22 and running through Dec. 31, travelers to downtown Denver will be able to witness a brand-new holiday drone spectacular. This new drone-powered light show will include more than 400 drones taking to the Denver skies, stretching across 400 feet of airspace, 500 feet in the air, for 15 minutes. The shows kick off each night at 7 p.m., with special shows Dec. 2, Dec. 25 and Dec. 31, and will celebrate and depict not only holiday favorite scenery, but also Denver icons such as the Blue Bear and the city’s professional sports teams.
