Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bistro is a staple of fine French dining on the West Coast. But, fortunately for the East Coast, a casual take on beloved French fare has found a home in New York City. Bouchon Bakery, with two locations in Manhattan, is a must for fans of Parisian baguette sandwiches and perfectly sweet macarons.

Bouchon Bakery is a lower-cost alternative to Bouchon’s sit-down cafe option, both of which are available in the Time Warner building. The easy location across from Central Park makes it a perfect pre-picnic stop for a sandwich or salad. The food is simple and straightforward, with standard favorites like ham and cheese or tuna nicoise on toasted baguettes. The wide variety of sweets, including macarons and a unique take on Fig Newtons, will satisfy your sweet tooth, too. Combos are available for easy and fast lunch options, or pick and choose from the starters, sandwiches and beverages that make up the pared down menu.

With all food made fresh to order, Bouchon Bakery is an affordable but fun way to make lunch a special treat. Next time you’re in NYC, swing by and pick up a fresh menu item for a taste of French fare without the fuss.
