Airlines in the United States are getting craftier with their food and beverage options, offering beer-loving travelers the opportunity to enjoy craft brews in-flight.
Delta Air Lines recently added a new selection of regional craft beers to its in-flight offerings on domestic routes. Unique brews include selections from Ballast Point Brewing Company (San Diego), Blue Point Brewing Company (Long Island, N.Y.), Brooklyn Brewery (Brooklyn), Lagunitas Brewing Company (Petaluma, Calif.), Newburyport Brewing Company (Newburyport, Mass.), Samuel Adams (Boston), Stone Brewing Company (Escondido, Calif.) and SweetWater Brewery (Atlanta).
Passengers can enjoy the special drinks on Delta’s West Coast shuttle between Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO); between New York (LGA) and Boston (BOS), Washington-Regan National and Chicago O’Hare (ORD); on Delta’s transcontinental routes between New York (JFK) and Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle (SEA); and on flights between Atlanta (ATL), New York-LaGuardia, Washington-Reagan National (DCA) and Dulles (IAD), Orlando (MCO), Ft. Lauderdale (FLL), Miami (MIA), Tampa (TPA) and New Orleans (MSY). Sam Adams is available on all other domestic routes.
As part of its commitment to providing locally sourced food and beverages onboard all flights, Alaska Airlines offers a unique selection of microbrews from California, Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. On each Horizon Air and SkyWest flight, passengers can enjoy one drink for free, including products from Saint Archer Brewing Company, Portland Brewing Company and Bridgeport Brewing Company.
Chicago-based United Airlines teamed up with hometown favorite Goose Island Brewing Company to pour its popular and refreshing 312 Urban Wheat Ale. The craft brew is available on the carrier’s flights worldwide and at United Clubs in the continental United States.
Cheers!
