As a company, Brooks England are best known for their handmade leather bicycle saddles, but recent years have seen the company expand their operations with a collection of bags, as well as diversifying their saddles through the use of new materials such as rubber and organic cotton. The Dalston Knapsack is part of the Utility bag collection, combining looks and functionality in a tidy package which has all the features you would look for in a daypack.

The Dalston is made in Italy from a combination of genuine vegetable-tanned leather and waterproof bluesign fabric, whose slight elasticity helps to reduce the wear and tear associated with active pursuits, as well as protecting your belongings from the elements. The larger version has a compartment for a 15-inch laptop, while the smaller version will fit a 13-inch device, perfect for those who prefer to travel light.

As well as the padded laptop sleeve, the handsome bag contains a variety of inner pockets and three on the outside, one of which doubles as a bottle pouch made from stretchy fabric. The Dalston is waterproof, durable and stylish enough to be used during cultural city breaks as well as outdoor adventures, when the adjustable chest straps will ensure the pack stays in its optimum position.

Visit the Brooks website for more information and choose from one of five different colors. The medium Dalston sells for €175, while its smaller brother will set you back €155.
