Angel Falls
Angel Falls is the world’s highest, uninterrupted waterfall. Located in Venezuela, the waterfall is 3,212 feet high and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Translating to the “Golden Waterfall,” Gullfoss is one of the most popular attractions in Iceland. Located in the country’s Golden Circle, the waterfall is situated in the canyon of the Hvítá River.
Iguazú Falls
The waterfall of the Iguazú River borders Brazil and Argentina. It is one of the widest in the world, at about 1.7 miles in total width.
The iconic Niagara Falls sit on the border between New York State and Canada. The waterfall is actually made up of three individual waterfalls: Horseshoe Falls, American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls.
Victoria Falls
This African waterfall sits at the Zambezi River, bordering Zimbabwe and Zambia. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1989.
Yosemite Falls is the highest waterfall in Yosemite National Park, at 2,425 feet. The California waterfall is also the highest measured in North America.
