Celebrate Día de Los Muertos at Four Season Resort Punta Mita’s annual Catrina Fest, a celebration of the timeless Mexican tradition with culinary delights, cocktails, music and culture.
The three-day celebration, held Nov. 1–3, welcomes notable chefs and mixologists from across the country, highlighting local flavors. The event also features music, workshops and entertainment honoring the cultural celebration.
Executive Chef Jorge González of Dos Catrinas, along with visiting chefs, will take guests on a culinary journey that indulges the senses and showcases Mexican dishes through multicourse dinners, cocktail parties and cooking demonstrations. Visiting chefs include Chef Richard Sandoval, James Beard Semi-Finalist; Chef Carlos Galán of Michelin-recognized Guzina Oaxaca in Mexico City; and Chef Jose Miguel García of Espantapájaros and La Barraca in Mexico City.
Additionally, on-site restaurants will hold special events such as themed dinners, cooking demonstrations, classes, brunches, cocktail parties and more.
Guests can also participate in a variety of culturally inspired experiences in the property’s Cultural Center led by the resort’s Cultural Concierge. Activities include:
- Making traditional Mexican crafts
- Catrina headpiece and makeup workshop
- Sugar skull decorating
- Cold porcelain skull workshop
