citizenM Launches First Hotel Membership of Its Kind

Hotel brand citizenM recently announced the launch of its newest membership program, mycitizenM+. Considered one of the world’s simplest hotel memberships, guests simply sign up for a year for just $12 a month.

With no points to collect, no bronze-silver-platinum levels to reach or stale club-lounge muffins, mycitizenM+ sets out to redefine what it means to include guests in a hotel membership. In signing up, members enjoy “all the perks without the points.” Following feedback from citizenM customers, the hotel brand found guests prioritize simplicity, value and flexibility when choosing where to stay.

The mycitizenM+ membership not only guarantees an extra 10 percent discount off the lowest public rate, but it also guarantees members a room, even during busy periods, for all member reservations made at least 48 hours in advance.

Members also receive free late check-out and a free upgrade to a premium view room, as well as a ‘first in queue’ chat service and early access to discounts. The mycitizenM+ membership invites members to members-only events and promises superfast, free WiFi in addition to a smooth check-in process through the free citizenM app.

Billing for the membership is monthly at a fixed low rate, and the cost of the membership, especially when used in high-demand destinations like New York City and London, is recouped within two nights. Every citizenM property is included with the membership with no blackout dates.

CitizenM continues to grow in the coming years with six new openings planned in 2022 and five more properties projected to appear in 2023. By the end of 2022, citizenM will boast 30 hotels in 18 cities across Europe, Asia and North America.
