Aloft Hotels is adding a new resort to its repertoire this spring, with the 235-room Aloft South Beach, located on Collins Avenue. The hotel will excite guests with unique food and beverage outlets and signature Aloft Hotels programming.
Restaurateur Stephen Starr brings Continental Miami to the new property, inspired by Continental Restaurant + Martini Bar, his first restaurant well loved in its Philadelphia hometown. The original is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
The Aloft South Beach layout features open spaces, modern amenities, state-of-the-art technology and loft-proportioned guestrooms. Designed with the “bleisure” traveler in mind — a new type of traveler blurring the lines between work and play — the property retains parts of the structure from its predecessor, Ankara Hotel, which opened in 1954. As part of the Aloft family, the hotel will buzz with the convivial spirit unique to the brand and will encourage an open, social environment.
Meeting attendees enjoy 3,000 square feet of functional meeting space, cheekily referred to as “playrooms,” perfect for small to medium groups and stocked with fun amenities.
Minutes from the beach, Aloft South Beach overlooks Pancoast Lake; rates begin at $179 per night.
