If you are an avid fan of sushi, you know how important it is to find your staple sushi restaurant as soon as you move to a new area. After numerous trips todifferent places in Philadelphia, Groupon, believe it or not, lead me to Crazy Sushi, a little hole-in-the-wall on Chestnut Street between 18th and 19th. From the outside, it is far from extraordinary, but once you walk in, you are greeted by a welcoming staff and a modern, but peaceful atmosphere.
One of my favorite aspects of Crazy Sushi is the extensive menu. For specialty rolls alone, there are more 40 options! A few of my favorites include the Dancing Kani roll, which features fresh crab and avocado inside and outside; and the Fire roll, with crab and spicy tuna. The seafood is always fresh and delicious, but what really sets Crazy Sushi apart are all the delicious types of house sauces they drizzle on top of their rolls.
Not only does Crazy Sushi have the best rolls in the city, they are also BYOB. With a liquor store down the street, this makes for a great night out with friends.
