Starting a beauty routine with the right products can drastically improve skin issues caused by weather, stress, travel and other daily challenges. Any time is a good time to start a beauty routine to correct skin issues and protect skin from future damage. Fall is a great time for a fresh start and using the right products can create fresh skin ready for any weather.
The beauty regimen you use is almost as important as the products. You have to make sure you’re using the right products in the right order at the right time. Before starting a routine, it’s good to clear a lot of the issues at once, with a mask. Using a mask is a good way to prepare your skin for the slew of products you’ll use in your new routine. Blisslabs Perfecting Mask ($75), from the Blisslabs Active 99 Anti-Aging Series, is a great way to get a jump on your new beauty routine. It’s a 10-minute mask and doesn’t harden like most do.
Once you’ve gotten rid of the main issues, it’s important to set up a daily/nightly routine to keep your skin pure, soft and smooth. Setting your beauty regimen around your shower time can be effective. Start with an exfoliating face wash to slough off dry, dead skin. This will leave you with smooth and healthy skin. Use something like the Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash ($24), an exfoliator and a cleanser acceptable for daily use. It smells of chamomile tea and exfoliates without the use of beads.
The next steps are to use a toner followed by a serum to soothe the skin after the wash and to restore the skin’s ability to lock in moisture. Try the Kari Gran Hydrating Tonic ($35) as it feels light and refreshing. Just two pumps will cover your whole face. Follow with a serum like the RèVive Moisturizing Renewal Serum ($235). It has a light, citrusy scent and goes on silky smooth.
The last step of your routine should include moisturizer to make for soft skin that lasts throughout the day/night. Choose a cream/lotion with SPF to prevent sun damage like the Freeze 24-7 Ice Shield Face Facial Cleanser with Sunscreen SPF 15 ($10), which will leave your skin feeling nice and soft.
