Finding the perfect dress is one of the most important parts of planning a wedding, and also one of the most stressful. Wedding Reality wants to make it less so with its Wedding Dress Studio app, available for Android and iOS.
The app utilizes augmented reality to help brides visualize the look of their dress, comparing silhouettes, styles and even the fabrics used. One thing to note is what you see on screen isn’t what you’re going to buy. Instead of showing actual dresses, Wedding Dress Studio shows simulated dresses that resemble real-life designers so the app is for experimenting with styles before you try them on.
Wedding Dress Studio works by uploading a full body photo to the app and adjusting the cut to fit your image. Brides can customize up to four aspects of the dress: silhouette, neckline, fabric and details, giving you almost 300 combinations to preview. A patented fabric-mapping technology is used to recreate how the fabric flows around the body to give you an accurate representation of what it will look like in real life.
Once finished, the app lets you upload to social media before heading out to the store. Learn more about the app at wedreality.com.
