Denver is a vibrant city with a great atmosphere for foodies. There’s an endless array of places to eat. Any of these five eateries should help satisfy your cravings in the Mile High City.
Root Down
Root Down has two locations, one even conveniently located at the Denver International Airport. If you want you get in at the main location, you’re going to need to have a reservation because this place gets packed. Be sure to start your meal with the lamb sliders and their bottomless blood orange mimosas.
Table 6
Table 6 in Capitol Hill serves up some of the freshest comfort food in Denver. They also have a dinner menu you’d expect to see in a 5-star restaurant. Where else can you start off with sloppy joe sliders and move into duck confit with cherry sage vin? Seating here is limited, but if you’re lucky you can get a spot at the chef’s bar.
Vesta Dipping Grill
Vesta is the place to go for some good ol’ fashioned steak and potatoes. They also have a love for jazz music, so it’s a great place to go to kick back and relax after work. Make sure to try as many of their unique dipping sauces as possible. They are what the place is named for, after all.
Work & Class
Work & Class combines delicious flavors from both Latin and American cuisine to give you a place that perfectly sums up what makes Denver great. It’s a local favorite and has some of the tastiest food at the best prices around. After you’ve downed a plate of coriander-roasted Colorado lamb make sure to finish off with some of their butterscotch pudding.
Tag
You’ll find Tag nestled within Larimer Square, serving up Hawaiian- and Asian-inspired dishes using local Colorado ingredients. They even offer goat enchiladas. There’s a great mix of food here and for the full effect you should order the omakase, a multicourse meal that incorporates the best parts of Tag’s menu.
