The attraction is set to open in 2017 and will boast features from the original 2009 James Cameron film, along with others from the three upcoming sequels. Among the attractions are the floating Hallelujah Mountains, an interactive bioluminescent forest and a flying theater.

Disney announced that visitors will be able to ride banshees on tours through Avatar Land. In addition, full-scale animatronic Na’vi, the big blue guys, will be roaming the park.
Walk Disney Imagineering’s chief creative executive said that they are pushing the envelope and boundaries of what is possible with the park’s design. Knowing what Disney has accomplished in the past, this is likely to mean that Avatar Land (unofficial name) is going to be amazing. It’s clear the amount of care that Disney officials are putting into this project is going to make it something special.
