Dive Motel Launches Asian Comfort Food from Xiao Bao Biscuit

The retro Dive Motel, located in Nashville, Tennessee, now serves food by popular Xiao Bao Biscuit, offering guests Asian comfort food at The Dive Bar & Lounge. A Charleston import, Xiao Bao Biscuit’s arrival marks an exciting addition to the quirky motel.

The Dive Motel transformed a dilapidated motel into a vintage and fun place to stay and eat. With wood paneling, shag carpet, soaking tubs and original 1970s wallpaper, The Dive Motel transports guests back to that decade. All rooms consist of a Party Switch, a feature that spins a disco ball spin to the tunes of Dive Radio, and a different theme. Guests can also enjoy the heated pool and hot tub before heading over to The Dive Bar & Lounge.

Xiao Bao’s food can be ordered and enjoyed at The Dive Bar & Lounge. Guests can enjoy fried mochi with lemongrass caramel pork, shrimp fried rice, hand pulled noodles with chili cumin beef and sesame and Xiao Bao’s famous okonomiyaki, a cabbage pancake served with a choice of egg, bacon, katsuo or pork candy. The Xiao Bao menu will be served Thursday–Sunday, 4–11 p.m. Guests can also try some of the motel’s fun drinks to accompany their meals. The Double Dragon consists of a shot of ma la Sichuan-infused gin paired with a Taiwanese beer.

Xiao Bao Biscuit hails from Charleston, South Carolina, in a small gas station. Its popularity saw co-owners and husband and wife Duolan Li and Joshua Walker expand their creation to its own location. Now, Li and Walker are in the midst of opening another location on Meridian Street, set to open in late spring 2022.
