If you want wedding photos both unique and beautiful, you may want to consider the newest trend of having photos taken by drone. This is just one of those ideas where you slap yourself in the forehead and say, duh. We have drones. We have cameras (ideally something high-powered like a GoPro). Why not put them together?
Drones can capture incredible cinematic photos of your wedding, painting you and your partner against the backdrop of your destination. They offer a unique view you and your guests otherwise wouldn’t get to appreciate.
The downside is that drones can be noisy and distracting. So, if you do opt to include drones in your wedding, keep flight time to a minimum, or keep the drone high overhead so it’s not buzzing in your ear.
Some other tips to consider when planning a drone photographer: Make sure drones are allowed in your venue and the surrounding area. This is the first thing you should do. Consider the price. Drone photographs and video can cost from $200–700, or more, depending on if you want to hire a company to do it for you or buy a drone and do it yourself. A drone is not a replacement for a wedding photographer, but rather a complement.
When choosing your photographer, don’t forget to consider using a drone to capture some heart-stopping images of you and your loved ones during your wedding ceremony.
