Looking for the perfect travel backpack? The new Rainer Collection from Skyway Luggage Co. offers an affordable, eco-friendly option. The collection includes backpacks and day bags made from recycled PET plastics primarily from discarded water bottles.
The five-piece collection features the Simple Everyday Backpack, Deluxe Backpack, Rolltop Commuter Backpack, Compact Duffel Backpack and Weekender Backpack. Each style is available in Laguna Black, Moab Rust, Tahoe Blue and Zion Gray.
Skyway Luggage Co. created The Rainier Collection with the active and ever-changing lifestyle in mind. The 100 percent, PET sustainable materials; quality finish; and smart organization come together with the purpose of building luggage you can rely on while making our world more sustainable.
Most of the backpacks in this collection feature a sleeve or a separate pocket for a laptop, making it perfect for a work bag or on business trips. All bags are spacious and can be used for a variety of occasions.
For those wondering what PET is, it’s the most common form of thermoplastic polymer resin of polyester used in fabrics in clothing and containers for liquids and foods. The used plastic bottles are collected, sorted and cleaned before transforming into small flakes. The flakes are then melted into a liquid, filtered and converted into filaments when cooling. Lastly, the fiber is converted and woven into durable fabric to make a new bag.
