This is not your average dinner train experience. The Napa Valley Wine Train is known for providing scenic journeys paired with world-class culinary offerings, but one experience stands out from the rest: dinner in the Vista Dome.
The train’s Vista Dome, a two-story elevated dining car, provides 180-degree scenic views. The private car is outfitted with luxurious booths and mahogany paneling for an aesthetic that captures the essence of rail travel in the early 20th century. During a three-hour journey, guests enjoy a multicourse meal — which includes dishes such as citrus-cured salmon and gnocchi with creamed leeks and forest mushrooms — and welcome drinks, as well as additional wine tastings if desired.
The Vista Dome experience is available for both lunch and dinner, with lunch experiences starting at 10:30 a.m. and dinner experiences starting at 5:30 p.m. Lunch experiences begin at $400 person, while dinner experiences start at $320 per person.
Want to take a ride on the Napa Valley Wine Train but not sure the full Vista Dome dining experience is right for you? You can also book a gourmet express lunch experience, afternoon tea experience, wine tasting experiences and others. Holiday events are also scheduled.
