Following a successful launch last summer, Finnair recently relaunched its popular route to Bodø, Norway. The route from Helsinki is the only scheduled international flight from the Norwegian city, with Finnair continually working to reinforce its Nordic network.

Pasi Kuusisto, general manager North America, Finnair, said, “With demand for travel to the Nordics continuing to rise, we are excited to be relaunching our direct flights between Helsinki and Bodø, Norway. Located above the Arctic Circle, Bodø is a magical destination brimming with beauty, offering unique experiences to travellers from around the world. As the only airline to offer scheduled international flights to the city, we know our summer service will prove popular with US customers looking to book an epic European adventure and experience the Midnight Sun.”

Flights to Bodø operate five times weekly through Aug. 12, an increase from the three weekly flights offered last summer. In Bodø, travelers can experience the phenomenon of the midnight sun, in which the sun never sets. Located in the Arctic Circle, the city offers beauty and nature, being named a European Capital of Culture in 2024.

U.S. travelers can reach Bodø with one stop in Helsinki via short, seamless connections. Finnair serves six North American gateways including Chicago (ORD), Dallas (DFW), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), New York (JFK) and Seattle (SEA).
