If your favorite Halloween flicks are any and all produced by the legendary Tim Burton, don’t let the fun run out with Halloween. As we head into the holiday season, it’s the perfect time to break out Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas — and you can experience the classic film in a brand-new way thanks to the Nightmare Before Christmas Light Trail in the Bronx.
Through Nov. 30, the display features illuminated art, characters, scenes and songs from the film, all set against New York Botanical Garden. The display encompasses more than 8,300 square feet of light installations, as well as an array of technology, including video projections, intelligent LED lighting and 3-D-printed sculptures. The light trail stretches along a one-way path and takes about 45 minutes to an hour to explore.
Tickets start at $39 for timed-entry children’s tickets and $49 for timed-entry adult tickets, and the trail is open Thursday–Sunday, from dusk to 10 p.m. You can also purchase a flex ticket that allows you to show up at the light trail at any time during your chosen date’s opening hours. You can additionally purchase a ticket bundle for groups of four or more at a discounted cost of $44 per person.
