You’ve heard of ice hotels, but what about ice restaurants? When ice Hôtel de Glace de Québec opens in January 2025, it will be home to the only restaurant made entirely of snow and ice in America thanks to a partnership with Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac.
Every Friday and Saturday, Jan. 17–March 15, more than 50 guests will be welcomed to the ice and snow restaurant to enjoy a three-course menu. The set menu includes a pastry-crusted soup with wild boar bacon consommé and foie gras, entrees like slow-cooked beef short ribs with celeriac puree, and a snow-inspired coconut and passion fruit dessert. Diners are surrounded by fur-covered furnishings and elegantly carved ice.
A $225 package includes dinner, welcome cocktails, a tour of the ice hotel, and shuttle service to and from Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac.
“Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac constantly pushes the boundaries of hospitality, offering our guests experiences that highlight what makes our destination unique, while maintaining world-class service standards. This new partnership with l’Hotel de Glace de Québec fits perfectly into this vision. Together, we are joining forces to create a unique restaurant concept, celebrating the identity of our city through its distinctive seasonality and its gastronomic excellence,” said Jean-François Vary, general manager, Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac.
