With Miami Art Week around the corner, Miami Beach enters a new era of luxury with a $2.5 billion investment in the pipeline of its arts and culture, specifically on Lincoln Road. This year, Lincoln Road plans to include art installations, pop-up galleries and interactive experiences for Miami Art Week.
After the cultural impact from 2023’s art season, the team behind Lincoln Road’s public art initiative continues to add meaningful and thought-provoking works with this year’s installations, including:
“XO World”
This installation features a 12-foot-high, 24-foot-long jacks-inspired sculpture created by contemporary abstract artist Daniel Anderson. The piece is made from 20,000 pounds of stainless steel. The “X” represents the sign for love in sign language, while the “O” marks the globe, bringing humanity together as one.
“Dream Machine”
Created by poet and philosopher Rubem Robierb, this 10-by-13-foot, larger-than-life butterfly wing sculpture represents the materialization of our innermost wishes. Viewers are invited to stand between the sculptural wings and imagine a trip to a place where dreams come true. Guests are even encouraged to take photographs with the stunning sculpture.
Beauty
This pop-up gallery features artwork by internationally known actor, director and writer Jordi Mollà. The gallery is set to highlight a range of his works from 2020 to the present, and includes acrylics, charcoal and mixed media.
Travelers and locals alike also have the opportunity to visit more than 15 art galleries throughout the district, showcasing distinctive works by local and international artists.
