Fairmont Waterfront, in Vancouver, elevates its commitment to wellness and coastal luxury with new winter activities designed to invigorate the body and mind while also embracing the area’s natural beauty.
“Winter in Vancouver offers a unique opportunity to experience the city’s natural beauty, and we wanted to offer our guests unique experiences that reflect our commitment to wellness and our coastal environment,” said Randall Williams, general manager, Fairmont Waterfront. “Each of these activities allows our guests to explore new dimensions of health and relaxation, while still enjoying the luxury and comfort that Fairmont Waterfront is known for.”
The new offerings include Polar Plunge & Brunch, Sound Bathing and Morning Runs.
The Polar Plunge & Brunch, available Dec. 15, Jan. 12 and Feb. 9, is led by Jodi Francks, the hotel’s Chief Experience Officer. After a dip in the chilly Pacific Ocean, guests enjoy cozy towels, access to the hotel’s health club and heated rooftop pool, and bottomless brunch at ARC. Transportation to and from the beach is included and the experience costs $95.
Every Saturday, 8:30–9:30 a.m., guests can join sound bathing sessions led by sound healer Tianne Allan. The sessions use quartz crystal bowls to create sound waves that release distraction and restore balance. Register with the concierge team for this complimentary event.
For an active start to the day, join guided morning runs every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 a.m. A hotel team member leads the runs along Vancouver’s seawall, through Stanley Park and around downtown. Open to all fitness levels and complimentary, the run lasts about 45 to 60 minutes. Running gear is available through Fairmont Fit for guests who didn’t pack it.
