It isn’t comfortable. It isn’t particularly easy. But Fenway Park is one of America’s favorite stadiums. And with good reason. The home of the Boston Red Sox is more than 100 years old and has seen some of baseball’s most legendary names pass through its doors.

But the stadium itself is an event and each section has its own unique characteristics. In the bleacher seats, you’re likely to be surrounded by fans who are just as interested in shouting at the players and drinking as they are in watching the game. The relatively new Monster Seats, above the fabled Green Monster outfield wall, may be one of the best locations in baseball and home to the casual fan. Along the baselines you’ll find the diehards, while behind the plate you’ll find only the fans who can afford it.

Speaking of, Fenway has the highest ticket prices in baseball. While you can get a bleacher or grandstand seat for under $10, Monster Seats often go for more than $100 (standing room $40) and anything near the field will be at least $50. Fenway is offering a number of deals this year; however, from Kids’ Days to Double Play Pax, there are options. The best deal, however, are $9 standing room tickets for all students, all year. Fenway is also hosting concerts and look for their popular movie nights, when they project a film on the Monster.

Fenway is what you make of it. Yes, you may end up sitting behind a pole (I have). You may have beer spilled on you (check). You’ll be cramped, uncomfortable, annoyed by the loud fans and our Boston accents. Or you could embrace it. Shout along with us as we don’t sit down once all game (check). Call a player a bum (check). Just be ready for anything. Because something magical happens every night at Fenway Park.
