Dubbed the “Disneyland for Triathletes,” TriHabitat is slated to open in Wilmington, N.C., next year as a 1,100-acre training and racing venue.
The first-of-its-kind triathlon facility will become the world’s only self-contained endurance sports racing and training venue, uniquely designed for speed and performance.
Here, world-class, endurance sport athletes, or those wishing to become one or wanting to reach their true potential can safely and effectively concentrate on what’s critical to their performance by training without distractions day and night.
This fitness playground will boast incredible features, including a 25-acre custom-designed lake with lanes for open water swimming, permanent transition area, a 14-mile paved bike path and a 6.5-mile run loop not open to motor vehicles.
The venue caters to those wanting to watch rather than participate with spectator-friendly sidewalks along the course. Five stadiums will also be built, offering spectators comfortable seating for watching event action.
In addition to these facilities, TriHabitat will also offer a 20-room lodge, conference center and motorhome park for the convenience and comfort of all.
For updates on the project, sign up online for TriHabitat’s newsletter and follow news on social media.
