Hitlist, the award-winning travel app designed to inspire users to travel more for less, launched a variety of new trip planning features to assist with planning and booking. To keep friends and family involved in the planning process, the new app is now socially integrated, allowing users to view trips planned by friends, follow their trips and receive notifications when a friend creates a new trip.
“Both common sense and research studies agree that consumers consult with friends when planning and booking a vacation yet the travel industry still relies almost exclusively on algorithms for travel search,” said Gillian Morris, co-founder, Hitlist. “We built Hitlist to be the alternative to an anonymous search engine. The result is a personalized set of results, organized by destinations visited and enjoyed by people like you.”
New features offered in Hitlist’s Trip Planning section assists users planning travel with more flexibility in dates, destinations and budget. New elements include the ability to compare fares by vacation type and by region, to find the best value by fares and to share trip alerts with friends.
For those not ready to book yet, Hitlist conveniently notifies users when prices drop, allowing them to book at the optimal time. Shortly after launching the newest version, Apple selected Hitlist for the coveted Best New App section in 83 countries.
